Understanding Neurodiversity Awareness Week

Neurodiversity Awareness Week – March

Every March, we mark Neurodiversity Awareness Week as a time to celebrate different ways of thinking, learning, and experiencing the world. It is an opportunity to raise awareness, promote inclusion, and recognise the strengths and potential of individuals with dyslexia, ADHD, autism, dyspraxia, and other neurodivergent profiles.

The week brings together schools, families, professionals, employers, and communities to encourage understanding and create spaces where everyone can thrive. In partnership with the National Council for Persons with Disabilities, Kenya Institute of Special Education, and other key stakeholders, we also support the registration of persons with disabilities, helping families access recognition, services, and opportunities available to them.

Through awareness activities, training, community outreach, and collaboration, we work to reduce stigma and build a more inclusive society.
