Dyslexia Msingi Program
Why It Matters
Early Intervention Changes Everything
Research consistently shows that children who receive structured literacy support before age 8 achieve significantly better long-term outcomes than those who receive support later. Msingi is built on this principle.
Many dyslexic learners in Kenya go years without identification or support, accumulating frustration, low self-esteem, and academic gaps. Msingi interrupts this cycle early — reaching children in nursery through lower primary school with targeted, joyful literacy instruction.
- Engages parents as active partners from day one
- Supports both English and Swahili literacy development
- Builds phonological awareness — the core skill in early reading
- Uses play-based, multisensory teaching approaches
- Targets learners aged 4–9 years in the critical literacy window
