Early identification of dyslexia and in deed all learning difficulties is very critical in offering timed intervention. DOK recognizes the need for teachers in the pre-schools and lower grade classes to understand and identify dyslexia and other learning difficulties early in a child’s life. Children with dyslexia should learn and are found in mainstream schools and teachers need to understand the learning needs of every individual child.
Conduct seminars and workshops for parents, teachers, and other groups to sensitize the participants on early identification and intervention of dyslexia and other co-occurring learning difficulties. Planned Seminars and workshops are conducted across counties.
Occasionally, Schools Directors/Head Teachers invite us to their individual schools for Parents/Teachers workshop, Parents meetings and Open Days and Education Committees to sensitize the parents and teachers about dyslexia and other learning difficulties.
